Our hickory golf club grips are available in cowhide or buffalo, in various colors. The cowhide grips have a slightly stronger backing, while the buffalo are prized for their suppleness; both are “soft” to the touch.
Grips are cut to a taper of 1 1/4 inch down to 1 inch. The wider part of the grip should be installed at the top of the grip. Their length is approximately 34–36 inches long, depending upon the cut of the hide. This will give you a grip of up to 12 inches long, with a little left over.
We strive to maintain color consistency in the hides we purchase. However, the color of a hide in tobacco, for example, can vary from one lot to another because of the tanner’s color mix and how the hide accepts tanning. It is always our goal to send you the best, most consistent quality grips we can find.
